Andy Graves MNAEA-Beverley
As Andy’s dad ran (and still does) an estate agency in Bridlington, he did everything he could at first to not follow in those footsteps. Many years later, he realised he was actually quite good at it and after years of running offices for other companies needed little time to consider when an opportunity arose to set up a business with Chris. Grays & Co (Graves & Ray) was born and Andy’s drive for excellence, combined with years of experience, has contributed to its significant success. Andy’s wife Juliet has to put up his with affinity for older cars that seem to need taking apart and putting back together all the time.

Jon Sheppard-Driffield
Jon joined Grays & Co in the early days of the Beverley office. With a background in retail management, he brought with him a strong service and sales instinct. After rapidly establishing himself, he was natural choice to invest in the Driffield office which he has run successfully as a business partner since August 2007. When not working or looking after Cameron & Eva,, he tries very hard to avoid cricket scores until he can watch it later.

Nick Milson - Beverley
Nick manages to combine a superb level or organisation with a strong instinct for selling which has made him a formidable negotiator. Nick works closely with Sonia to form an unbeatable frontline team. Never known to be far from a source of sugar, Nick likes his gadgets and is regularly called upon by colleagues to solve many, quite honestly basic, technical issues.

Sonia Oyston - Beverley
Sonia is still employee number one on the payroll with Andy and Chris being 2 and 3. This is an indicator of both her length of service and her involvement in our success. Sonia had worked in Beverley for a few years before Grays & Co came into being and therefore offers considerable knowledge and experience of the local market. Always ready with a smile for visitors to the office, Sonia has personally helped many local residents sell and buy their homes.

Chris Ray BA (Hons) - Beverley
Chris met Andy when working in his first estate agency job in York. Opportunities took him to Wetherby, London, Harrogate and York again before an opportunity arose in Beverley to take over a failing business. His wide experience of the market has contributed much to the company’s ethos and systems which help set it apart from competitor businesses. Chris’s wife Rachel is a teacher at Cherry Burton School and taking sons George & Sebbie to their sporting commitments, leaves just a little time for walking with his spaniels Meg and Basil.

Jenni Lawrence - Driffield
Jenni holds the Driffield office together. Quiet (compared to most of the others) but no less effective for it, she is well organised and leans towards a subtle approach in dealing with clients and buyers. She loves her horse Wednesday and terrier Bertie and is willing to put up with her boyfriend.

Sarah Hendry - Pocklington
Brought up in and around Pocklington and still living in the town, there is little Sarah doesn’t know about the area (and she knows a lot of the residents as well). Sarah has been with us since 2007 and has built a reputation for being calm, having a sense of humour (essential requirement) and being a great all-rounder. Definitely one to have on your side!

Darren Hodgkinson-Pocklington
Darren enjoyed a military and engineering background before joining Chris at an estate agency in York. Success there,, led to a branch manager’s role and he then joined Grays & Co in 2007 to invest in and run the Pocklington office. After 4 years he has become a fixture in the town and is known for his thoughtful, honest advice. Outside of work, Darren supports his fiancée Ruth in her teaching commitments to school sports and he enjoys keeping active

Tom Nash MRICS
Tom enjoyed a long and high profile career in commercial estate agency before returning to his native Yorkshire to pursue a slower pace of life. While still being retained by some international clients, Tom wanted to establish a local practice in East Yorkshire. After meeting Grays & Co when selling a property, a joint venture was suggested and launched. Tom has number of interests outside of work including agriculture and he is also the current president of the Old Pocklingtonians society.

Amy Rawson - Beverley
Amy came to us straight from sixth form in 2007 and has been a key member of the Beverley team ever since. Since returning from maternity leave (daughter Evie), she has taken over the lead role in our lettings service. Always bright eyed and full of enthusiasm, Amy also has a well deserved reputation as being the fastest talker in the company which is no mean feat.
